Been a tough few weeks. Who would have ever imagined? A bad pinch for Merrill Lynch.
Tough in VoIPland, too. Vonage now has to worry about its credit lines as much as its phone lines.

We generally don’t know about the business structures and finances of the VoIP providers. But based on general impression, service quality, competence, responsiveness, etc., The Voip providers will have the best chance of being around in 6 months or two years.

My Guesse The Top 3 candidates to not survive the next year:

1. Vonics
2. Vonage
3. MagicJack

In this order.

As far as providers I think will survive:

1. Future Nine
2. Callcentric
3. CallWithUs
4. VoiceStick

A definite maybe goes to:

1. ViaTalk
2. Skype
3. Grand Central
